MPH Origin Stories

"Is anyone really working on the case for Matthew's use of Luke?" Prior to 2015 it was commonly assumed that this minority solution to the Synoptic Problem could safely be ignored. Now, however, the Matthean Posteriority Hypothesis is, "a hypothesis with the wind in its sails". Since the publication of Rob MacEwen's, Matthean Posteriority, (LNTS, 2015), and Alan Garrow's, "Streeter's 'Other' Synoptic Solution" (NTS, 2016) the theory has enjoyed resurgence of interest, but several scholars had quietly arrived at this position, and published their findings, long ago. Click on the pictures to read their stories, and those of more recent advocates. Notice that, although these accounts begin from a diverse range of starting points, they all arrive at the same conclusion. If you have an MPH Origin Story to tell, do get in touch.
